Had been looking for years to install aircon and when I researched it, was overwhelmed by the sheer number of companies and units available. Questions about getting a quote
Is the air conditioning survey really free?
Yes. For a new system, Olly visits, looks at the rooms and the outside walls, works out the size of unit each room needs and where everything should go. You then get a fixed written quote. There is no charge for the survey and no obligation to go ahead.
Can you give me a quote from photos?
Photos are a great start. A picture of the room, the wall where you would like the unit and the outside wall is often enough for Olly to tell you what will work and roughly what is involved. The fixed price comes after the survey, because sizing and pipe routes need a proper look.
What does the written quote include?
The make and model of each unit, its size in kW, where the indoor and outdoor units go, the pipe route, and what is included in the price. One customer summed it up: "Price we were quoted was the price we paid". If anything about your home could change the job, we say so up front.
